Effingham Noon Rotarians had the opportunity to hear about the 1% sales tax question that will be on Effingham County ballots on Election Day November 5.

Local resident Chuck Deters spoke on the proposal and plans for the Unit 40 school district should the question be approved by voters. Again, the question will be on ballots throughout Effingham County.

Noon Rotarian Andy Johnson, who serves as Effingham Unit 40 Superintendent, was the program chairman.

The Rotary student guest was Timothy Seiler, son of Cindy and Michael Seiler and a senior at St. Anthony High School. His goals are to study Aviation and become a pilot.
