Beecher City School Board Acts on Maintenance Grant

Beecher City school board members Monday approved including their grade school addition project as part of a school maintenance grant for the school year.

The $50,000 state grant request is matched by the school district, but will help defray that amount of the project cost. 

Board members approved Wright Specialty Insurance for the school year for worker's compensation, property, liability and automobile insurance. 

In personnel moves, the Beecher City board approved the resignation of non-certified employee Shannon Sloan; approved the hiring of long-term sub Victoria Funneman for elementary music; and approved the hiring of junior-senior high school secretary Gail Brandt.
