Effingham County Fair Parade Info

The Effingham County Fair Twilight Parade will be held Sunday, August 4.  The parade sponsors at Altamont Ambulance Service are encouraging pre-registration of your entry.

This year's parade theme is "Proud of the Past...Faith in the Future". 

There will be plaques provided by local businesses, along with cash prizes awarded for chosen parade categories with ribbons presented to all participants.  Pre-registration is required for judged entries and entries must be received by August 3.  Non-judged entries may register the day of the parade, but pre-registration is highly recommended.

The parade will step off from the parking lot or other designated staging area at Altamont Community High School at 4:45pm on Sunday, August 4 to arrive at the grandstand at the fairgrounds by 5pm.  Participants are to arrive at the high school between 3:15 and 3:45pm to facilitate judging and parade lineup.
