VanScyoc Named Middle School Principal at South Central for 25-26

South Central school board members have appointed James VanScyoc as principal for South Central Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year.

VanScyoc will succeed Greg Grinestaff, who is retiring, as middle school principal. VanScyoc is a South Central graduate. 

The Board also thanked Kay Engel, who is retiring after many years as district treasurer. The district substitute list for the year was approved, and leaves of absence were approved for Tracy Hulsey and Shari Kuhlman. 

Board members also approved Rayna Hall and Amanda Koehler as unpaid South Central assistant coaches. Hall will help with the band and Koehler will help with the clay target team.
