A local man has been placed on two years' probation and will spend 120 days in jail after pleading guilty to aggravated domestic battery.

50-year-old Aaron D. Davis of Watson was arrested last November. The Effingham County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from Davis' girlfriend, saying she needed help. When deputies arrived, the woman shared that she was attacked by Davis, who was armed with a knife. After being advised that Davis had several guns and knives inside the residence, police established a perimeter.

Shortly after midnight the next day, police entered the house and took Davis into custody without incident.
