Dieterich school board members Tuesday purchased a new cooler for the kitchen and purchased 50 Dell Chromebooks for just over $23,000.

The Board also approved baseball field improvements. A grass infield will be added to the baseball diamond.

Also approved was a memorandum of understanding with the Dieterich Education Association that eliminates a paragraph in the current teacher contract. The paragraph limited a teacher's earnings to 6%, while participating in the Retiring Teacher Salary Enhancement Program.

Board members approved a senior class trip to Nashville and Chattanooga on April 29-30 and May 1, and also approved formation of a Bass Fishing Team at Dieterich High School for this school year.

In personnel moves, the Dieterich board dismissed Tyler Pilcher as high school boys basketball JV coach, effective immediately. The Board accepted the resignation of Colton Booher as junior high boys basketball assistant coach and hired Booher to replace Pilcher as boys JV basketball coach. The Board approved a letter of retirement from Mark Hille as a bus driver as of the end of the school year. They additionally approved the support staff retirement incentive award, per the support staff agreement.

The Board also hired Callaway Campton as junior high boys basketball assistant coach, Christina Ordner as an aide, and Kimberly Bierman as a custodian.
