Altamont Resident Sentenced to Prison

Altamont resident Billy Cripe has been sentenced to three years in prison.

The 35-year-old Cripe was sentenced Wednesday for a forgery offense stemming from October of 2022. Once out of prison, Cripe will be on six months' mandatory supervised release. He was given credit for 133 days served awaiting disposition of his case. 

Cripe's forgery sentence will run concurrent with a possession of controlled substance conviction from March of 2021.
