Work to Begin on New Playground at Evergreen Hollow Park to Begin Next Week

Work is to begin soon on the new playground at Evergreen Hollow Park in Effingham.

The removal of the old playground has been completed. Park District Director Jeff Althoff said they hope to start construction of the new playground next week.

Althoff reported to the Park Board Wednesday on the completion of the Flag Football and Soccer programs. A new volleyball program for girls in Grades 3-6 began this week, and will meet Monday and Tuesday of each week.

Althoff also reported that Rink Management's work at the Workman Sports and Wellness Complex has ended, and Trophy Fitness now operates the complex. He said that work to seed ball fields and game fields will begin soon.
