Search to Resume This Morning for Man Missing at Lake Sara

The search will resume this morning for a construction worker who went under the waters of Lake Sara Tuesday afternoon.

The man is one of two workers on a home at the lake. The men took a break and dove into the lake waters with a goal of swimming across the lake. The men swam a distance but one of the men went down beneath the lake's surface.

One of the men was rescued by a lake resident, but the other man has not been located.

The search for the missing man is to resume about 8am today. The Effingham County Dive Rescue Team is involved in the search, along with other emergency services agencies.

Neither of the men is from this area.
