Teutopolis Ready to Start on New Comprehensive Plan

Teutopolis village board members have agreed to utilize the University of Illinois for help in developing the village's next Comprehensive Plan.
The U of I was one of six entities that offered its services to the village, and will charge $11,586. The work is expected to begin soon.
The Board hired F&C Concrete and Excavation of Toledo to repair sidewalks throughout the village for $43,284. Effingham Asphalt was retained to do asphalt work on a portion of John Street for $64,758 and a portion of State Street for $158,719.40.
Board members agreed to replace a new storm siren next to the junior high school building for $36,400 and to purchase three aerators for use in the sewage lagoon for $25,587.20 and to purchase a fourth unit to keep on standby.
The Board also scheduled the Teutopolis Civic Club Halloween parade for Friday, October 25 along Main Street.
