Corvette Funfest This Weekend as Mid America Celebrates its 50th Anniversary

The 2024 Corvette Funfest is set for this weekend in Effingham.

The event will be headquartered at the Mid America Motorworks location on North Route 45. 

The weekend will include road tours on Friday and a full day of activities on Saturday. As always, Mid America's Chief Cheerleader, Mike Yager, is inviting the Effingham community to the Saturday events, as Mid America celebrates its 50th year anniversary.

The show field hours Saturday will be from 8am to 10pm.

Here's the Saturday rundown:

8am--Registation Opens and Corporate Building is open a parts sale, order pickup, and a product mall. Food trucks, refreshments and a bar will be available

9am-2pm--Celebrity Choice Award judging hours

10am--Opening ceremonies and the National Anthem by Marie Mullinax from EIU

11am--Seminar on Corvette pace cars at the Indy 500

11am--Ladies Paradise Scavenger Hunt in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness

1pm--Seminar on The Cover and the Birds

1:30pm--Scavenger Hunt winner drawing

2pm--Seminar on What's New at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering

3pm--Mike Yager presents My Corvette Story

4pm--1999 Time Capsule Opening

4:30pm-Awards Ceremony

5:15pm--Niemerg's Country Dinner (available for purchase)

6:30pm--annual St. Jude's 50/50 raffle

7pm--concert by August Zadra, longtime member of Dennis DeYoung's band with a Styx tribute

There's no admission charge to Funfest.
