An Urbana resident has been sentenced to prison in relation to an Effingham County criminal case.

52-year-old Shatez Long was sentenced to seven years in prison for retail theft. A separate case involving allegations of burglary was dismissed as part of the plea.

Long will spend one year mandatory supervised release once out of prison. He must also make restitution and was fined.
