(JACOB SEID AND STEPHANIE BROWN)

The first in a series of work sessions concerning a new Comprehensive Plan for Effingham was held Tuesday evening.

Members of the Effingham City Plan Commission and Effingham Zoning Board of Appeals gathered with other stakeholders in Effingham. The group gathered with Stephanie Brown of Chastain and Associates and Jacob Seid of Sightline Planning and Zoning, who will guide the planning process.

Items of focus include mobility, housing, downtown, infrastructure, development in the area of Effingham's Tax Increment Financing districts as well as parks and recreation, and future land use.

Those with an interest in Effingham and the Comprehensive Plan process are encouraged to fill out a survey regarding the Plan. Go to www.cityofeffinghamil then click on Comprehensive Plan on the front page and fill out the survey, then submit it.

Seid and Brown said completing the Comprehensive Plan would be an 18-month process
