Gov. Pat Quinn's political war chest is considerably larger than any of his potential challengers.
Quinn's campaign reports two-point-three-million-dollars, having added about a million between April and June. Democrat challenger Bill Daley has quickly amassed 796-thousand-dollars.
Among the Republicans, venture capitalist Bruce Rauner had 916-thousand-dollars, but has spent about a third of that. State treasurer Dan Rutherford reports 433-thousand-dollars, State Sen. Kirk Dillard has 293-thousand-dollars and State Sen. Bill Brady has 61-thousand-dollars.
