First Property Tax Installment Due Friday

A reminder from Effingham County Treasurer Deb Ruholl to the property owners in Effingham County that the 1st installment payment of property tax is due Friday, September 6th.

The taxes can be paid at the Treasurer’s office on the 2nd floor of the County Office Building or at most banks in the County, or on line (a convenience fee will apply) or they can be mailed to the Treasurer’s office. If payments are not in the office by 4 PM on Friday or postmarked on or before Friday, September 6th, the first installment will incur a late penalty.
