Dieterich Village Board Sets Rental Rates, Approves Demolition Projects

Dieterich village board members revised rental rates this month to use the Civic Center, the Liberty Park Pavilion and the stage in the park.

The Civic Center rental was raised $20 to $100, and the park pavilion rental was raised $20 to $95. A $50 charge was added to rent the stage if it is to be used during a pavilion rental.

Trustees accepted penalties from two individuals who committed vandalism at the park on August 3. The pair agreed to pay a total of $400 ($200 apiece) to the Veterans Memorial Fund and agreed to each write a letter of apology for doing the damage.

The Board approved the annual $250 membership in the Dieterich Sports Backers,and also set Trick or Treat in Dieterich for Saturday, October 26 from 5 to 7pm.

Dieterich trustees also recently hired Adams Memorial of Charleston to continue installing runners to maintain the headstones in Dieterich Cemetery for $24,500, and awarded home demolitions to H&K Excavating for demolition of houses at 106 North Vine Street and 110 East Section Street. Also approved was a quote from Eric Goeckner for demolition of a home at 308 East Center Street.

The Board also approved project development agreements with Tick Tock Energy for solar panels at the Village Hall, Wright Family Center, and the wastewater treatment facility.
