Clay County board members filled a vacancy on the board with the appointment of Kelly Colclasure of Flora.

Colclasure replaced Ted Whitehead on the Board.

The Board also approved the sale of the old Clay County Jail building. Travis Hildebrand of Louisville was the highest of three bidders at $10,101.

Board members awarded work to improve a six-mile stretch of Hickory Hill Lane, west from US Route 45 to near the Xenia-Iola Road, to Mt. Carmel Stabilization. ARPA funds were allocated toward the cost of the project.

The Board also named new Flora Police Chief Jeremy Ruger to the Clay County 911 Board for a three-year term.
