The Effingham Imagination Library has announced the expansion of its early literacy program to include residents of Teutopolis (62467) who live in Effingham County.
This development was sponsored by Teutopolis for Tomorrow and will extend the reach of the program, bringing the gift of books and early learning opportunities to even more children in our community.
The Effingham Imagination Library is a local initiative of Dolly Parton’s nation-wide program dedicated to fostering a love of reading and supporting early childhood education. Through support from donors and community partners, the program has already had a significant impact by delivering age-appropriate books directly to the homes of children from birth to age five.
With this expansion, children in Teutopolis will now have the opportunity to receive a free, high-quality book each month, starting from the month of their birth until they turn five years old. This initiative aims to bridge gaps in literacy resources and ensure that all young learners have access to the tools they need for a successful educational journey.
Residents of Teutopolis (62467) who wish to enroll their children in the Effingham Imagination Library can do so by visiting www.imaginationlibrary.com.
Teutopolis forTomorrow will also be available at the Garage Band Night of Saturday, August 17 from 5-6:30 in the Springfield Runde Clinic parking lot to answer questions, assist with enrollment, and offer a preview of books. Enrollment is free, and all children who meet the age criteria are eligible to participate.
