Fire Call to Lakewood Manor Friday

The Effingham Fire Department was called Friday morning to a report of a fire at 80 Lakewood Manor Drive.

As crews arrived, smoke was showing from the rear of both Lots 80 and 81 at Lakewood Manor. All occupants were safely out of both structures, and no injuries were reported.

The fire burned a storage shed, the back end of Lot 80 and did external damage to Lot 81.

The fire was determined to be accidental. Damage was estimated at $25,000 for 80 Lakewood Manor Drive and $5,000 for 81 Lakewood Manor Drive. 

Effingham Fire Department was assisted by Effingham City Dispatch, Effingham Police Department, Rural Med EMS, Teutopolis Fire Protection District, and Ameren.
