Teutopolis Village Board members Wednesday voted to seek bids on asphalt surfacing work on State Street.

The work would extend from Pearl to Oak Streets. It was also decided to see whether favorable bids could also be received on surfacing the portion of John Street from Route 40 to Walnut Street. The bids will be considered at the Board meeting on August 21.

The Board authorized Teutopolis Civic Club to have live musical entertainment until Midnight at Oktoberfest on September 28, but tabled any action on regulating mobile food service establishments, as some revisions are being sought.

Board members purchased an easement for sidewalk work along Race Street and release of a reverter on a lot in Prairie View Subdivision. Lot bond reimbursement payments were approved on two lots in Prairie View.

There was no further action on a TIF agreement with the Teutopolis School District on funds for a school bus. The matter will be considered at the Board meeting on August 21.
