Linders Limited Acquires Seven More McDonald's Restaurants

One day after celebrating the 50th anniversary of the original McDonald's restaurant in Effingham, Linders Limited McDonald's have acquired another seven restaurants, bringing their number of McDonald's to 25.

The Linders family acquired the seven restaurants from Don and Deanna Witzel of Danville. The new acquisitions are in Danville, Georgetown, and Hoopeston, Illinois, as well as in Covington, Indiana.

The new acqusitions join the Linders' McDonald's locations in Altamont, Effingham, Charleston, Mattoon, Arcola, Rantoul, and Champaign-Urbana.  

According to a spokesman for Linders Limited, the official date of the transaction is August 15.
