Kyandra Zerrusen is 2024 County Fair Queen

Congratulations to Kyandra Zerrusen, the 2024 Miss Effingham County Fair.

Queen Kyandra was crowned Tuesday night at the conclusion of the fair queen pageant. She will reign over the balance of this year's fair and will compete in January at the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs state convention in Springfield. The winner there will reign over the 2025 Illinois State Fair and DuQuoin State Fair.

Kyandra is the daughter of Tasha and Matt Verdeyen and Nate and Marcy Zerrusen. The new queen was crowned by 2023 Fair Queen Paige Wendling.

The first runner-up is Krista Phillips, daughter of Glen and Jeni Phillips of Effingham. The second runner-up is Peyton Garrard, daughter of Brian and Ame Garrard of Altamont.
