New Start Time for Harness Racing at This Year's Fair

Let's share with you some revamped start times for the harness racing this coming week at the 80th Effingham County Fair.

We told you that due to the 12-heat lineup, the race card on Sunday will begin at 12 noon.

We have also learned that the Thursday and Friday race cards will begin at 12 noon; Friday has been a noon start time for several years to make way for the concert that night. Now, the rodeo producers would like a noon start time to allow them an extra hour to get ready for their performance on Thursday night.

SO...here's the harness racing schedule for Fair Week:

Sunday--12 noon

Monday--1pm

Tuesday--1pm

Wednesday--1pm

Thursday--12 noon

Friday--12 noon.
