Teutopolis village board members heard from Teutopolis school officials at their recent meeting.

Teutopolis Unit 50 Superintendent Matt Sturgeon and school board members Chandler Hewing and Erin Ordner were present. They sought either a financial contribution or assistance in purchasing a school bus.

The assistance is being sought since TIF funds are captured from taxing bodies to make improvements in the TIF district.

Village board members decided to review the matter with their TIF administrator, then revisit the issue at their meeting August 7.

The Board also heard from Charles and Jerry Runde of the Teutopolis Civic Club. They asked for approval for a band to play until midnight on September 28. The Board will vote on the request at that same August 7 meeting.

Board members voted to buy a pump for the West Main Street lift station; to approve a street oiling bid from Larry Heuerman Trucking for $68,003.25; to release minutes from executive sessions; and to authorize the lease of farm ground owned by the Village to John B. Meyer.
