A 36-year-old Fairfield woman is in custody after she was charged with alleged criminal actions against two young children.

Zone 8 of the Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation and Fairfield Police Department announced the arrest of Aydreian D.A. Hooper on charges of Involuntary Manslaughter, Endangering the Life of a Child That Involved a Death, Reckless Conduct, and Endangering the Life of a Child.

State Police were requested by Fairfield police Sunday to assist in the death investigation of a one-year-old boy and the severe injury of a two-year-old boy. Both children were reported to have been left in a vehicle for multiple hours. The Child Death Investigative Task Force was activated.

The Wayne County State's Attorney's Office Tuesday charged Hooper with the four offenses. She was being held at last report in Wayne County Jail.
