Effingham will be transformed into an art lover’s paradise as artisans from all over the region display and sell their handcrafted pieces on the campus of Tuscan Hills Winery located at 2200 Historic Hills Drive in Effingham.  The 17th annual Effingham Artisan Fair will take place on Friday, July 19 from 5-9pm and Saturday, July 20 from 9am-4pm.  This is a juried art show with cash prizes, and the 2024 judge is Christy Hiatt, art teacher at St. Anthony Schools.

Sponsors for this year’s Artisan Fair include Effingham Tourism Department, Koerner Distributor, Dr. Ruben & Emily Boyajian, and Stang Arts.

This FREE two-day event features over 30 artisans (pottery, jewelry, metal work, paintings, woodworking, crochet, wearables, soaps, photography, leather, edible art, and more), live music, food trucks, live art demonstrations, and a free Kids Korner hosted by community organizations providing children’s activities, arts and & crafts, games, and more.  Artisans will be located inside and outside Tuscan Hills Winery.

Live music on Friday evening will feature Jake & Mikayla from 5-7pm and Wreckless Whiskey Band from 7-10pm. Saturday’s music lineup includes the Charleston Jazz Band at 10am, We Ain’t Misbehavin’ from 11am-1pm, FACE Orchestra at 1:30pm, and a performance by Three Chicks & A Stage beginning at 3pm.  They will all perform on the big stage.

Food vendors include Bricks Exquisite Eats, Gate to Plate, Taqueria Jalisco, The Sizzlin’ Tizzler, Toppins Soft Serve, and Mad Daddy’s, Casey Coffee, and Pauletta’s Place Pop Corn Treats.

Tuscan Hills Winery will offer a variety of wine, beer, and other beverages.

A FREE Kid Korner on Saturday will begin at 9am, and is hosted by a number of community organizations providing a variety of activities, including painting, crafts, bubble making, playdough art, and much more.  Organizations include FREE Kids Activities provided by: Effingham Child Development Center, Effingham Fire Department, Crisis Nursery of Effingham, Project CHILD, SAFE, Cub Scouts Greater St. Louis Area Council, Effingham Police Dept./Explorers, HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois, Enduring Freedom Ministries, and Effingham County Connections.

Face painting will take place from 9-2pm and new this year is a series of Learn & Create Art Workshops.
