Teutopolis Village Board to Increase Salaries

Teutopolis village board members set pay rates for the next term at Monday's meeting.

The village president's pay will go to $9,600 and the village trustees pay will go to $2,400. The changes will be effective May 1, 2025 for those elected in 2025 and will be effective May 1, 2027 for those elected in 2023. 

It has been more than 20 years since the pay rates have changed.

The Board discussed allowing mobile food trucks to operate. A committee meeting will be held at 6:15pm on Wednesday, July 17 to discuss the matter further. There was also discussion on easement agreements on a proposed sidewalk project. A farm lease agreement was also discussed with board members deciding to maintain their agreement with the current farmer at the same amount through December 31, 2027.

The Board also approved release of a reverter on another lot in Prairie View Subdivision.
