Teutopolis village board members decided this week to keep all village funds in their money market accounts. Board members also reviewed CD rates.
The Board paid their $5,500 yearly dues for membership in The Alliance, and selected Moran Economic Development as a TIF consultant.
Board members discussed the lightning strike at the village water plant in May. Village officials said replacement parts have been hard to find. They hope to have the plant back up and running at full capacity in the next few weeks. The Board also purchased a laptop for the water department and for Village President Dave Repking.
The Board discussed capital improvement projects. It was agreed to include construction of a storm sewer on the south end of Race Street when applying for grant funds to help finance upcoming projects.
It was decided that Repking would contact the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus to discuss possible options regarding the lighting at Vine Street and Garrett Street.
