Brownstown School Board Wraps Up Fiscal Year

Brownstown school board members Monday approved agreements for asbestos management, telephone support services, and office assistance.

The Board set administrator salaries for the coming school year, approved replacement of a disposal unit in the school kitchen, and accepted a bid from Triple A Asbestos to complete an asbestos abatement project in the elementary school gym. Also approved was the hiring of ABC Flooring to replace the elementary gym floor.

Brownstown board members employed Cloe Haas as high school Ag teacher, Julie Mayer as junior high Language Arts teacher, Ron Morecraft as a fulltime bus route driver, and Kathy Brown as a special education teacher aide.

The Board also adopted an amended budget for the current school year.
