Effingham County 911 board members Tuesday heard software upgrades at the County dispatch site that morning went well.
One other matter that needed addressed concerning cell phone service was acted on. Board members approved purchase of a cell phone booster to improve reception at the City dispatch site. The booster will cost just over $1,000.
Also Tuesday, 911 System Administrator Tina Daniels reported the state 911 officials are still working on implementation of guidelines regarding dispaching of officers to emergency situations where mental health concerns are involved. The legislation was passed last year by the General Assembly.
