Three Area Communities Receive Grant Funds for Infrastructure Improvements

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has announced the recipients of the Community Development Block Grant for Public Infrastructure.

A total of $41 million has been awarded to 32 communities, which will support critical repairs to water, sewer and drainage infrastructure to enhance safety and quality of life for 52,000 Illinois residents.

In our area, $1.5 million was awarded to the Village of Beecher City; $1,330,880 was awarded to the Town of Mason; and $1.5 million was awarded to the Village of Montrose.
