The Summer Reading Celebration is set for this Thursday from 4 to 6pm at the Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library.

Library Director Amanda McKay said, "The Summer Reading Program is in full swing and that calls for a celebration. We will celebrate by holding events inside the library on the first and second floors, and outside the library in the side yard. There will be games, crafts and activities for the kids, as well as face painting and temporary tattoo stations. Mini ponies from Heartland Mini Hoofs will make a visit and there will also be llamas from the Llama Leader 4-H Club. Bill Passalacqua will provide live and interactive music."

Registrations for the Summer Reading Program has already begun. You can still register at effinghamlibrary.org/summer-read/ or you can go to the Children's Room on the second floor of the library.

The Summer Reading Challenge at Effingham Public Library is open to all children and adults. A library card is not needed to participate in the free program or any of the events at the library.
