Effingham County 911 board members Tuesday reviewed plans to upgrade city and county dispatch workstations and monitors.
County IT Director Jason Repking said work will be done first at the dispatching point at City Hall. The work will include new monitors, waterproof equipment, and other steps to keep the workstations uniform. Similar work will be done at the dispatching point at the county jail as space is available.
The Board discussed available funds since there are no large projects planned in the near future. A $500,000 CD will come due in September. The thought Tuesday was to renew the CD for a year since the interest rate will remain unchanged.
There was also discussion about a statement for insurance that has previously been received, but board members said the County currently has no liability for what the insurance would cover, so there's no need for the coverage.
