The two city schools will hold their commencement exercises this weekend.
St. Anthony High School will hold their Baccalaureate Mass and graduation ceremony Saturday night at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Activities will begin at 7pm.
For the Mass, servers will be the siblings of the graduates and the St. Anthony High School Choir will sing. Abbigail Hatton and Marvin Rodriguez will share the readings and Deacon Joe Emmerich will read from the 7th Chapter of John. Andrea Rudolphi will present the General Intercessions.
During the graduation ceremony, Elliot Frisbie will present the salutatorian speech and Madeline Kibler, Grace Niebrugge and Pierce Verdeyen will present valedictorian speeches.
The Effingham High School commencement exercises...the 138th annual...will begin at 2pm Sunday in the EHS gymnasium.
Gracie Eaton will give the welcome from the class, and senior class president Spencer Fox will speak. There are four co-valedictorians at EHS this year...Charly Kreke, Alexander Kruger, Ellie Macklin and Mallory Tappendorf...and they will each speak. Camden Raddatz will lead the change of the tassels.
