Stew-Stras Board to Re-Bid Bus Barn Project

Stewardson-Strasburg school board members rejected all bids at this week's meeting on a bus barn project. The Board voted to authorize Superintendent Justin Deters to re-bid the project with modified contract terms and specs.

The Board discussed health/life safety bonds for future projects; and approved an amended budget for the fiscal year with final action at the June meeting.

Deters updated the Board on a tentative daily schedule for the coming school year; approved non-certified wages for the coming school year; accepted the resignation of Josh Spannagel as junior high assistant baseball coach; accepted the resignation of Torrie Antrim as paraprofessional; hired Gary Schumacher as a substitute and part-time custodial worker; and rehired Brett Harmeier as high school varsity baseball coach.
