North Clay Sets End of Year Dates, Acts on Personnel Items

North Clay school board members took action on a host of personnel matters at Wednesday's meeting, but also reviewed end of year dates for the district.

North Clay's high school graduation will be held this Sunday, May 19 at 3pm, following Baccalaureate at 2pm. 8th grade promotion will take place Tuesday, May 21 at 6:30pm.

Meanwhile, in personnel action, the North Clay board accepted the resignation of Kim Harrison as high school track coach and Megan Welty as high school varsity volleyball coach. Resignations were also accepted from Aaron Kincaid as 5th and 6th grade boys basketball coach, Phil Givens as assistant girls high school basketball coach, and Denise Givens as head high school girls basketball coach.

Those hired were Hannah Clark as high school English teacher, Jessica Workman as fresh/soph volleyball coach, Logan Lotz as boys fresh/soph basketball coach, Noah Barnard as high school E-Sports coach, Maddie Craig as 8th grade volleyball coach, Malorie Craig as 7th grade volleyball coach, and Adam Frederick as junior high school Robotics coach.

The Board authorized the administration permission to hire additional summer maintenance help, gave approval to post for two anticipated one to one bus aide positions, and gave the administration permission to hire necessary certified and non-certified staff members.

North Clay board members also set pay rates for athletic officials for the coming school year, and discussed the latest on the district's construction project.
