The history and continued growth of Koerner Distributor of Effingham was the focus at the Effingham Noon Rotary meeting May 15.

Koerner Distributor President Jordan Koerner spoke about the company's 40-year history since its establishment by his grandfather, Carl Koerner, Jr. and subsequent leadership by his father, Paul Koerner, and uncle, Phil Koerner. Jordan Koerner succeeded Paul Koerner as company president in 2023. Paul Koerner is Chairman of the Board and Phil Koerner is Vice-Chairman.

Koerner shared the unique role that distributors have as compared to producers or retail sales locations. He also discussed the acquisition of a distributorship that added a large portion of central Illinois to the Koerner territory.

Koerner also mentioned that the company has a goal of developing their distribution of non-alcoholic products to at least 10% of their sales.

Noon Rotarian Mitch Martin served as Rotary weekly program chairman.
