Dieterich school board members Monday placed a tentative amended budget on public display with final adoption of the measure expected at the June meeting.

The amended budget added $1,000 to the Bond Fund to account for a bond fund. The overall budget of $396,802 accounts for a Pre-K grant, additional interest income, and additional tax revenue.

The Dieterich board renewed the district's health insurance plan with Egyptian Trust/Blue Cross Blue Shield at a 3.2% increase, and awarded OPAA Food Service Management a bid for food service management for the coming five years.

Board members approved the fee schedule for the coming school year, with the only increases being in breakfast and lunch prices. Breakfast will cost $2.25 and lunch will cost $3.00.

In personnel moves, the Dieterich board accepted resignations from Jacob Bierman and Lyndsae Westrich as aides and from Maggie Harmeier as an aide and as After School Program Director.

Those hired were Ryan Wohltman as head high school cross country coach; Jesika Flach as junior-senior high school cross country assistant coach; Jordan Christy as high school JV volleyball coach; Emma Ruholl as family and consumer science teacher; and Maggie Harmeier, Jennifer Meinhart, Don Meyer, Hunter Niemerg, Trevor Crutcher and Dominick Ashley as summer workers.

The Board also discussed the possibility of creating a student board member position and the benefits of having such a position.
