Representatives of Family Care Associates discussed their behavioral health program at the Effingham Noon Rotary club meeting on May 8.
Dr. Melissa Semple and Rebecca Holkenbrink discussed a post-partum support group being run by Family Care Associates, but also discussed what they see as a mental health crisis and how it is affecting businesses and communities. Holkenbrink shared that someone who wants to help should work to "validate someone's feelings." Regarding the post-partum support group, Dr. Semple said, "we want mothers to know this is out here."
Molly Ledbetter of Family Care was also part of the group. Sherry Waldo was the Noon Rotary weekly program chair.
