Car Runs Through Wall at Fastenal

A car ran off the road and struck the Fastenal building at Willow and Grove in Effingham Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred just after 5pm. The car went over the curb on Grove and slammed into the south wall and ended up inside the business. 

The driver was able to get out of the vehicle under his own power and was treated at the scene. The Fastenal store had closed for the day and no one was inside the building.

Effingham police and firefighters were on scene, along with Rural Med EMS and Ameren Illinois crews.
