Teutopolis Village Board Members Discuss K of C Street Light

Representatives of the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Council requested a street light at the Teutopolis Village Board meeting Wednesday.

The street light would be located at where the intersection of Vine and Garrott Streets would be located on the KC parking lot south of the tracks.

Village officials plan to research the request.

The Board tabled action on parking improvements at Plot Twist; awarded road maintenance materials to Heuerman Brothers; agreed to install "no solicitation with a permit" signs within the village limits; and acquired two easements for the upcoming village sidewalk improvement project.

Board members discussed possible changes on employment benefits concerning bereavement days, but voted to approve a $100 increase in the clothing allowance for qualifying village employees. There was also discussion of where to do road oiling, and what to do, discussed whether to seek funds for cast iron water line work.
