Altamont Man Sentenced on Sex Offenses

An Altamont man was sentenced Thursday to prison time for aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

64-year-old Keith A. Evans was arrested in 2022.

Evans was sentenced to 6-1/2 years in prison on each of three counts of the offense. The sentences will run concurrently. Evans will be placed on three years' mandatory supervised release on each counts once out of prison. A Class X felony count of predatory criminal sexual assault was dismissed.

All of the charges allege a victim under age 13.
