According to the National Children’s Alliance, more than 600,000 children are victims of abuse and neglect across the United States each year.
Since opening its doors in 2017, Crisis Nursery of Effingham County has served more than 1,087 children (711 families) and provided more than 42,000 hours of around-the-clock supportive care to children and families in our community. All Crisis Nursery services are free and open to anyone no matter where they may live. When a family uses our services, they do not have to worry about bringing anything (e.g., diapers, wipes, bottles, formula, etc.). Crisis Nursery provides everything, so families only need to worry about safely getting to Crisis Nursery. Support through donations of childcare supplies or monetary donations help Crisis Nursery continue providing vital 24/7/365 support to families in our community.
Crisis Nursery invites the Effingham community to join in the “Stuff the Truck” event on Friday, April 26. You're invited to help re-stock their inventory so they can continue to provide everything a child/family needs.
A big thanks to Kirby Foods for hosting the event in their parking lot from 7am until 6pm!
