Fire Does Major Damage to Home Southwest of Funkhouser

Fire did major damage Friday afternoon to the home of Bob and Nancy Bugger, south and west of Funkhouser.

Watson firefighters were called to the scene on 1025th Avenue at 1:28pm. The first information was that the fire started in the chimney, but it spread quickly throughout much of the house. No one was injured.

Watson firefighters were assisted by fire companies from Montrose, Effingham, Edgewood Bi-County, Altamont, Teutopolis and Shumway, along with Rural Med EMS and Illinois State Police.
