Brownstown School Board Considers Personnel Matters

Brownstown school board members took action on personnel matters at this week's meeting.

The Board accepted the resignation of Christa Stein as junior high math and science teacher effective at the end of the school year. Moves were made for the coming school year, with Deirdre Murray hired as a second grade teacher and Jenna Lett as a Pre-K teacher, while Kayla Hingson will be reassigned from Pre-K teacher to Kindergarten teacher.

Board members also finalized the current school year calendar; approved a list of proposed summer projects; accepted the appraisal of the district and authorized the start of work on the coming fiscal year budget; and scheduled a public hearing on the amended budget for the current fiscal year for June 17.
