Effingham County 911 board members learned Tuesday that prices are being obtained on new workstations for the 911 dispatchers. The workstations are on schedule to be replaced this year.

The Board spent $1,250 on an item that will alert operators if problems occur on the new generator that backs up the county's 911 PSAP location. Two new chairs were purchased for the city dispatch point.

There was discussion of whether to reinvest 911 funds in money market accounts to generate interest. The matter was tabled for a month.
