Washington Savings Bank Welcomes Barbara Love to Their Board

Paul Koerner, Chairman of the Board at Washington Savings Bank announces that Barbara Love of Mattoon was elected to the Bank’s Board of Directors at their annual meeting held on Wednesday.

Born and raised in Mattoon, Barb graduated summa cum laude from Millikin University with a bachelor’s in accounting. Barb currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Howell Paving, Inc., a position she has held for over 25 years. Additionally, she and her husband, Mike, own and operate Morgan’s Meat Market in Mattoon. Upon taking over the business in 2016 they expanded the size and product offerings of the store and have enjoyed becoming more involved in the small business community of Coles County.

Barb enjoys being an active member of the community and currently serves on multiple boards including the Mattoon Sports Complex, Inc., Mattoon Athletic Booster Club, the Mattoon Family YMCA, Arland D. Williams Scholarship Committee, and the Sarah Bush Lincoln Foundation. Together with her husband, they have two adult daughters. Hillary works in public accounting in Mattoon and Emily is a Registered Nurse. Emily is married to Nick, a Professional Engineer and they have one three-year-old son named Pryor.

In addition to Paul Koerner and Barb Love, David Doedtman, Todd Kabbes, Blake Linders, Paul McKillip, Gary Patrem, and Lisa Wortman were re-elected to the board.
