Car Off Roadway Into Waterway Northwest of Town

A vehicle ran off the road this morning near the intersection of Illinois 32/33 and County Road 1200 East, northwest of Effingham, and into Green Creek.

Authorities report that the woman in the vehicle, Christina Bloemer of Effingham, was able to get out of the vehicle unassisted and went to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital on her own for examination.
