Unit 40 Facilities to be Closed Monday Due to Eclipse

Effingham Unit 40 Schools is restricting access to ALL Unit 40 facilities and grounds on Monday, April 8th.

Unit 40 Marketing and Communications Specialist Erin Hartke said the decision is due to safety concerns, liability issues, waste management concerns and security management. The District is encouraging everyone to please stay off ALL school properties including parking lots and sports complexes. The District statement shares that large gatherings can pose significant safety risks, especially without proper planning and supervision.
