Park Board Reviews Spring Sports Signups

Effingham Park Board commissioners reviewed signup for spring sports Wednesday evening.

Here's a look at the figures:

Junior League Softball (6th and 7th grades)--30

Prep League Softball--50

Minor League Softball--60

Girls Small Fry--60

T-Ball--150 (signup is still going on)

Khoury League Baseball (2nd and 3rd graders)--104

Little League Baseball (4th and 5th graders)--70

Prep League--35

Boys Small Fry--104 (signup is still going on)

4 to 6 Year Old Soccer--144

1st and 2nd Grade Soccer--113

3rd to 5th Grade Soccer--104

Commissioners got an audit report for the 21-22 fiscal year from Doehring, Winders and Company and found the District was in good standing. They also received a report that memberships are up a little from last month at the Workman Sports and Wellness Center, but the numbers could be impacted once better weather remains.

There was also discussion on replacing the sign that was damaged at the corner of Evergreen and Maple. and support for placing an electronic message board at the location.
